He worked at Maysteel from 1951 until his retirement in 1997, and for Gleason Reel from 1983 to 1995. Don was an avid hunter and Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed spending time on his property in northern Wisconsin. He also loved Mayville High School athletics.

On December 27, 2021, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that a woman named Eleanor Murphy passed away at Koepsell Funeral Home in Juneau. At the age of 95, Mrs. Murphy left behind seven children and a large circle of friends. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on December 29 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau. Rev. Paul Hirsch will officiate. Burial will follow at the Juneau City Cemetery.

In addition to her parents, Barbara Stanford passed away on Jan. 19, 2019. She is survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nieces, and three nephews. She also has five step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Her husband, Alton Westhuis, died in 2013.

Eunice was born on August 14, 1925, and married Rueben Beck on July 3, 1948. She was a former bookkeeper for Beck Motor Sales and worked as a switchboard operator in Hartford. She was active in the St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church and served on the Ladies Altar Guild. Eunice will be missed by her family, her friends, and many new and old neighbors.
