James Thomas Peavy, 68, of Aynor, SC, passed away on November 1, 2012. He was born August 21, 1944 in Galivants Ferry. His parents were John and Lillie Bell Cooper Peavy. Peavy leaves behind a devoted wife, Linda, and four daughters. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Collins, and two nephews.
Family and friends remember Peavy’s many contributions to the community and to their lives. He was a former business owner, church planter, and farmer. He served as a United Way volunteer. He also served as a church deacon. His love of family was evident in his volunteer work. He loved his grandchildren and they would never wish for his passing to happen.
The family will celebrate his life with a memorial service at 1 p.m. on March 31. His children and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. His mother, grandmother, and brother-in-law were all in her life and loved him dearly. Her legacy will live on in the lives of all who knew her.
