Christopher Larry Dyer, 36, passed away on February 7, 2021. He was a resident of Salyersville, and was employed at Joy Global. He attended Magoffin County High School and worshiped at Keith Memorial Tabernacle. His wife Sarah Picha Dyer and sons Christopher Shawn and Jonathon Rogers both survive him. Other survivors include his parents, Larry and Helen Dyer of Salyersville, and brother Ricky Dyer and his wife Michelle. In addition, he leaves a large circle of friends and family.

Willie Tackett
Willie Tackett at Salyersville funeral home provided service to his wife, Linda, who passed away on March 28. She was 72. She was born in Salyersville and died there. During her lifetime, she was an active member of the Salyersville community. She was a member of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky and a lifelong member of the Salyersville Lions Club.
Willie’s service was held at Salyersville Funeral Home on January 14, 2019. Pallbearers included Randy Sloas, Dale Moore, Scott Smith, and George Caskey. The Rev. Dallas Patrick officiated the service. The family is grateful for the many memories shared with them. The remembrances will live on in the lives of everyone who was touched by his life.
The service was attended by his wife, Leatha Tackett, who passed away on March 4, 2022. Ossie was the youngest of five children. His parents moved to Ohio at the age of one. At age eighteen, he joined the army. His recruiter advised him to eat bananas and milk before his next exam. This advice was followed and he enlisted.
He was buried at the nearby Pinson-Osborne Cemetery with Christian Church services. The burial ceremony was conducted by Rev. J. W. Simpson.
