Daniel Dermitt, the youngest son of Roger Dermitt, is an active member of the family. He graduated from Georgetown College in 2003, worked for two years in Louisville, and then returned home to help his family and friends. In March 2011, Daniel Dermitt attended Mid America College of Mortuary Science in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He graduated with honors and received his Funeral Director’s license in December of the same year. In January of 2012, he began working as a Pre-Need Counselor at Dermitt Funeral Home.

The family of Mike Mayes of Leitchfield is arranging for services at the Jerry Dermitt Funeral Home. The funeral is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bro. Jerry Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunny Point cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from noon until time of the service. The family also asks that memorial contributions be made to the church.

Jerry Lee Miller passed away on Monday, April 13, 2021. He was 54 years old. He was born on October 12, 1966, in Leitchfield. He was the son of Quincy and Shelby Miller. He worked in Fort Knox as an EMT and attended Potter’s Hope Ministries. His wife, Donna Joyce Miller, and three daughters survive him. He is predeceased by one brother. The funeral home staff has lost a valued member of its team. Beverly Boyd passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2019, at age 67. She was a lifelong Grayson County resident and graduated from Mid America College of Funeral Service, where she was salutatorian. She also served as president of the Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity. She was an integral part of visitation. She was an active member of two churches in her community and served as an Embalmer-Funeral Director from 2010 until her death.

Survivors of Beverly Boyd include three children and five grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing with her dogs and spending time on her lakefront home. She is survived by three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In addition, she will be sadly missed by her friends and family. Beverly was a beloved member of the Dermitt family.
